Hey, I'm Scott
I just graduated high school, and I’ve been deep in tech since before I knew what tech was. I started programming around freshman year, but I was already modding Minecraft when I was 8 — changing textures, editing configs, breaking stuff just to figure out how it worked.
Looking Back
When I was in freshman year, I would have never thought I’d be in the position I am now. I would’ve dreamed about it — starting a company, building real SaaS products, calling myself a software engineer, or even being business partners with my old computer science teacher. That all sounded like fiction back then.
But I did it.
And now, I’m dreaming even bigger — building something that actually matters, scaling real companies, hiring teams, changing how people use tech. Freshman me would’ve been hyped just to read this.
Why This Blog Exists
I’m starting this blog to document the projects I’m building, the lessons I’m learning, and the crazy stuff I’ve seen in tech so far. I’ve always believed that if you really understand something, you can explain it clearly — so that’s the goal here: break it down, no fluff.
The Crypto Chapter
When I was 15, I made over $10,000 from crypto. I was spinning up meme tokens on Ethereum, setting up sites, taking 2% of the supply, and flipping it for profit. It was all upside — I never bought in myself, so I couldn’t lose. That money mostly disappeared because, well… I was 15. No regrets, though. That taught me more about economics, branding, and community than any finance class ever could.
My Companies
Above
Fast-forward a bit — junior year, I co-founded a company called Above with my old computer science teacher and a business partner. It’s a decentralized trading platform we’re still developing. Think DeFi but rethought — easier to use, more transparent, and built around actual users, not just hype.
Just recently, I drove all the way out to Atlanta for an investor pitch meeting for Above. That moment hit hard — like, how the hell did I even get here? I’m 17, pitching a blockchain startup to real investors. It was surreal. A couple years ago, I was watching YouTube videos on how crypto works. Now I’m across the state pitching a company I helped build. Unreal.
Robocor
Right now, I’m interning at Robocor, a robotics company building autonomous security robots. Day one, I didn’t even know how to solder. Twenty-four hours later, I had it down. That’s how I learn — throw me in the deep end and I’ll swim.
EduDesk
I also founded EduDesk, my first official LLC. It’s an IT ticketing system made for schools — born from real problems I faced when I was the unofficial “IT guy” at my school. Teachers would drop off busted Chromebooks with zero context, or leave sticky notes that just said “doesn’t work.” So I built a better system. Clean UI, organized tickets, image uploads, asset tags — the whole thing. What started as a school tool is now a full-blown product.
Why I’m Writing
I want to use this blog to document stuff for my future self — to reflect on how far I’ve come. But also to share what I’ve learned with others who are just getting started.
That’s where I’m at right now — building products, shipping code, and learning fast. Whether it’s startups, side hustles, or soldering robots — I’m in.
If you’re into that too, stick around. This blog’s for you.
